When women lost the main stream : Historical Perspective

Disclaimer : This is a logic thought, based on my understanding of history, biology and society. If it matches with any work please consider it as co-incidence. If my article appears to be offensive (regarding any of the gender) please excuse me and highlight my mistake, I am waiting… Thank You.

In present scenario of society there is a wide spread debate over the "The Women" and their status. This is really a great time for women because men have now started to fight for the rights of women. But my argument is limited to the historical perspective, this article will deal only with 'at what time in history women lost the equal status and why'?

Initially society was a non-existent, there were only hunter and gatherer. They hunted ate and gathered the seed. Then after sometime they started the similar activity in groups. This is most remarkable period of time because this is considered as the foundation of society.
Bimbet ca (or "Pimpet Ca" as per Tamil Nadu Board) is a place in Madhya Pradesh where earliest paintings have been found by archeologists. In the painting one is very special one, that depicts a women throwing a weapon with a child knotted in the waist. This image shows that hunting which is an exclusive act for men in Vedic, Mauryan and Mughal period was not exclusive in pre-historic period.

After hunting gathering; Agriculture ( Latin Word : agri= Soil , culture = cultivation) came on scene. Society molded in more rigid formation. People settled, culture developed in more localise sense. This localise sense segregated the whole group of population in small factions which we can compare today's tribes. When tribes emerged so the conflict between them. Superiority and inferiority complexes took over the concepts of peaceful existence.

Due to warring tribes, every tribe formed it’s protectors more or less like army. This army comprise of men. Initially this would have not been but as tribes men have found that women are not as strong as men (biologically, Women's bone is lighter than men and spinal cord is harder in man). They may have decided to make army comprising only men. In my opinion this is the time when women found themselves in back foot.  Their job was limited to house chores, gathering, cattle rearing, and agriculture.

Later these tribes emerged as Janas (kingdoms), people appointed king for whole area who was vested with the job of protecting the land form invasion and maintaining the law and order with in kingdom. As we know today, human need have modifies the environment to satisfy their needs. But need are ever encompassing and resource was limited. This results in the need of expansion of Empire by expeditions. Every expedition recognized the velour of man since they were primary and facing the enemy form frontline. Secondary worrier who were treating the wounded, providing the supplies and reconstructing the damaged estate were boldly forgotten. But plight was yet to unfold. Expedition was not only means to extend the empire there was another i.e. Matrimonial Alliance. In this female member of ruling dynasty get a wed lock with another king. In this kind of marriage choice of women was completely ignored.

This is how women lost the main stream of society. Since then jobs of velour is in the hands of man and women is playing the secondary role. But today's perspective is better than any known past. Here women are demanding the right not alone but with the men, some faction who are hardliner of patriarchal structure are still holding the feet but I think soon the fort will collapse and society will become equal not only for men and women but also for latest recognised Third Gender.

"Views over News : Women in the territory ceased by ISIS is being treated as award, and gift. They are being married and re-married. They are being transferred form one husband to another husband. They are being striped and sold among ISIS worriers . I don't think any religion sanction this, which religion their caliphate represents? They say Islam but the Islam I know (even being a Hindu) does not sanction violence against the most beautiful creations of God/Allah/Jesus i.e. men and women."
